The Kamloops Major Men’s Fastball League season opened Tuesday with a doubleheader at Charles Anderson Stadium, and the Chase Prowlers were on the losing end of both contests.
The Prowlers lost 8-3 to the TRU Consulting Group Cardinals. Rich Haldane pitched a three-hitter in the victory, striking out nine.
Jacques Lam was 2-for-2 with four RBI, and Brandon Barker scored three runs. Mark Lans hit a three-run home run for the Prowlers, whose pitcher, Barry Dennis, allowed eight hits.
Northern Trailer won the second game 11-4 over the Prowlers.Adam Donnelly was the winning pitcher, and also went 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. He helped put the game away with a three-run dinger.
Dennis took the loss.
