Missouri’s Ehren Earleywine — at 5 feet 7 and not far north of his 150-pound playing weight as a four-time member of United States men’s softball team — has long contended he isn’t the most popular coach in college softball.
After his counterparts — mostly female — hear what he just said about them, they’ll like him even less.
“So much of the women’s game is filled with smoke, hot air and emotion,” Earleywine told The Star. “Even the commentators talk about stuff that isn’t relevant to winning and losing. It’s about everything but what is important.
“To me what is important is your technique, your effort, conditioning, teamwork. It’s not the way you wear your uniform. It’s not the chants and the cheers that you do. It’s not the pregame speeches and gimmicks. Click here for the complete story.
