The Best in Men’s Major Fast-Pitch Softball
The 4th Annual Bob Walsh Memorial Classic for Men’s Major Fast-Pitch Softball gets under way this Friday, July 25th at Patriots Park in Allentown, PA. Scheduled start time is 7:00 pm with the Can-Am Windmillers of Berkley Heights, NJ playing host to Circle Tap 1 of Denmark, Wisconsin. The 9:00 pm game features Broken Bow Spirit of Broken Bow, Nebraska taking on Federal Lock and Safe of Arlington, VA.
This event brings to the Lehigh Valley the best teams in the United States that Men’s Major Fast-Pitch has to offer. All (8) teams traveling to this year’s tournament are ranked in the Top 20 of the world by the International Softball Congress (ISC).
A general admission 3-day pass is $20.00 with other ticket prices available for one and two days as well. Senior citizens will also receive special pricing for the weekend.
Major event sponsors for 2003 are Yuengling Brewing Company and Haldeman Lincoln Mercury.
The round robin competition on Saturday wraps up with single elimination play on Sunday with (3) games at 8:30 am, 10:30 am and the championship game at 1:00 pm.
RCN-TV 4 will televise the championship game.
