Otto's Pitch (Our Feature Writer, Bob Otto)

Also among these features, we are privileged to host "Otto's Pitch", a collection of feature stories (and sometimes photos) by one of fastpitch's best known writers and photographers, Bob Otto. 

This month in Otto's Pitch, read the Q & A with soon-to-be-ISC-Hall-of-Famer Jim Rubbelke, who will be inducted at the ISC World Tournament in Kimberly, Wisconsin.

Our "Personality Profiles" are interviews and stories with some of the best of the game.

"The Readers Write" is a collection of letters to the Editor, excerpts from our e-mail bag.   This might be my favorite part of being the editor of this site - - hearing from the readers, who hail from every imaginable city and country on the globe.  Sometimes a "hot-button" issue brings in a lot of email, like the attempt by ASA to restrict the taking and posting of photographs here at fastpitchwest.com.

"Bleacher Banter" is a loosely gathered collection of stories, comments, and even some occassional rumors heard 'round the ballpark.  Like sitting the bleachers at a ballgame, you never quite know what you'll hear.

"Polls" give our readers a chance to vote on the topics of the day or express an opinion by weighing in.   Some of our recent polls ask our readers to predict the winners, or finalists in a given tournament.  Very un-scientific, but a whole lot of fun.

"Fastpitch Trivia"  tests the "fastpitch IQ" of our readers.  

"Multi-Media" is the place to find audio and video materials, including our "Live Audio" broadcasts of fastpitch games on "Fastpitchwest Radio" (streaming audio on the internet) and other audio and video clips.  You'll also find links to listen to games live or archived broadcasts delivered on Sportjuice.com.  Fastpitchwest Radio broadcasts selected games live on the internet.  Watch the Multi-Media and Tournament pages for broadcast information.

"Morning Brief" is a  "sometimes daily" column about men's fastpitch written by Jim Flanagan, editor of Fastpitchwest.com, done "blog style", with periodic postings on a variety of topics.  The column is indexed and archived for easy reference.
