Decos-EHS European Cup Winners Cup Champions

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

From

From Roberto Bahler:

Congratulations to Decos EHS for winning the European Cup Winners Cup!!!

I was reading the last article posted by Norman Ames last Monday. Norman mentioned all the very talented players on the roster. He also mentioned Rob DeMooij and every single thing he said about Rob is correct. He loves the game and has done a great job by running the team for so many years.

But let me tell you something, Norman forgot to mention one very important person in that team. The person that makes all the
contacts around the globe and makes sure that EHS gets good players for every season. The person that keeps players together. The person that makes all the arrangements to assure that all foreign players have a good time while living in Holland. The person that always has positive things to say even in adversity.

That person is Norman Ames.

Cheers bulldogs!!!!!!

Editor’s note:
Don’t be left behind on this one – it fills up as fast as any tournament I know of. Most of the teams that have already played re-up for the following year. Note Alex’s proviso that only the first 24 teams are guaranteed spots. From there, they will be accepted only in groups of four. (28, then 32). There will be no more than 32 teams. Reserve your spot now. And for you fans that are going to Orlando just for fun, remember to book your trip well in advance as you’ll save a bundle on airfare, etc. By comparison to some tournaments, this one can be done inexpensively if you plan in advance.

Decos EHS ready to defend their European Title next week

Sebastian Gervasutti, Jonas Mach Among Additions to Squad

From

[Haarlem, The Netherlands] – Decos EHS is ready to defend its European title in Liberec, Czech
Republic the coming week. Decos EHS won the European title last year in their hometown Haarlem, The Netherlands.

We have been able to add some great players to our roster. Due to the injury of Erik Zomerdijk and the absence of Kerim Bettio we had to add a few pick up players (4 allowed this year). We
are very proud to have added pitcher Sebastian Gervasutti (Argentina, The Farm), Czech National team catcher David Mertl and Patrick Kolkus, (Czech Republic, the first European player to make the ISC All World Team). Also back from the USA is Czech National Team player Jonas Mach who played for us in the Dutch competition as well.

Decos EHS Roster:

Sebastian Gervasutti (pitcher)
Jonas Mach (pitcher)
