Venezuela Team Looking for Pitcher

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

We pass along this note in case anyone is interested or knows of someone who is:

[Venezuela] – Hi, I´m writing from Venezuela. I own a professional softball team and I looking for a pitcher for this season here, which starts in three weeks. I really appreciate any help to contact a great pitcher (email, phone number).

More information about the season:

* the regular season is betwen Feb. 23rd to April 6 (6 weeks)
* playoffs April 12th and 13th (1 week).
* final April 19 to April 27 (2 weeks)

So we´re gonna need services of pitcher for 6 to 8 weeks (depends how far the team goes hope to be on the finals!!!).

* we play only on weekends, two games on Saturday, two games on Sunday.
* all expenses are covered (flight ticket, hotel, meals, transportation)
* email me for further $$ details.

We have already a pitcher from Argentina and we need another foreign pitcher so we can become champions.

best regards,

2008 Boys of Summer – July 11-13, 2008

Monday, February 18th, 2008

From

Boys of Summer 2008
Denmark, WI, USA

Hello all. As depressing as the daily snowfall and frigid temperatures are here in Wisconsin, I do have a little news on this year’s Boys of Summer Open Tournament to warm up your day. The dates are July 11-13, 2008. The event will again be held at Circle Tap and two diamonds in Denmark Memorial Park. Denmark is a short 15 minute ride south of Green Bay directly on I-43.

This year’s even will again host 16 of the best teams. Normally, I could say best North American teams but we do have a South American team this year. There will be 4 pools of 4 with eight teams making it to a single elimination tournament. One playoff game at CT on Saturday night, the other quarterfinals are 10 AM on Sunday, SemiFinals at noon, Finals at 2PM at Circle Tap.

I hope you can all come out and enjoy on of the strongest and exciting tournaments of the summer and experience fastpitch in one of the most electric atmospheres in the game. For those of you have never seen the facility I hope to have an aerial photo posted on our website in the coming months. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments and I’ll help you out as best I can. Darren Derricks will again serve as Tournament Director.

Here is the outstanding field teams:

1. Farm Tavern-Madison, WI
2. SoCal A-1 Bombers-Yucaipa, CA
3. Circle Tap-Denmark, WI
4. TownLine-Green Bay, WI
5. MinnDak Millers-Fargo, ND
