Reminder to Post Tournament Results to Al’s Fastball

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

A reminder from Ken Hackmeister of the ISC: Please Post ALL Invitational Tournament Results to www.alsfastball.com

Just a reminder to tournament directors and teams about providing invitational tournament results to Al Doran. (Email results to fastball (at) pmihrm.com )

For ISC Ranking Committee purposes, http://www.alsfastball.com is the official Internet site for obtaining tournament results. Individuals can post to any other sites and forums of their choosing but for team ranking committee purposes, www.alsfastball.com is the one they are asked to use for tournament results . With the 2006 tournament season just underway, everyone’s cooperation in sending tournament results to Al will be appreciated.

The next ISC Team Rankings will be distributed following the upcoming Memorial Day weekend tournaments.

Thanks,
Ken Hackmeister

Red Rock Tournament Gets Underway Today

Saturday, May 6th, 2006

The Red Rock Tournament gets underway at the beautiful Canyons Complex in St. George, Utah today, with games starting at 9am Mountain time, and thereafter at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm. Today’s games are round robin, pool play games, which determines seeding for tomorrow’s single elimination championship bracket round.

Selected games will be broadcast live on the internet, on Ballparkradio.com. Watch here and at the ballparkradio.com website for more details. We’re checking out internet connection before posting the schedule, but the tentative is to do a 5pm game tonight (4pm PST, 7pm EST), and two tomorrow, a 1pm semi-final, and 3pm championship game. Again, we are in the mountain time zone, so adjust yours accordingly.

We will be providing scores and updates throughout the weekend, so check back after each set of games.

ISC Moves Website

Official ISC Press Release, via Al’s Fastball: ISC Moves Website

ISC Moves Website Now you see it, now you see it. Regular visitors to the ISC web site may have noticed some subtle changes to the web site in the last day or two. The familiar, mostly blue screen of http://www.iscfastpitch.com/ is now mostly white. And behind this change are many more changes to the most popular web site in the fastball world. The reasons for this relate to a decision to move from our old host site BlueGenesis to a new provider, Net Reliant http://www.netreliant.com/ The reasons for this were many and complicated but involved the retirement of our previous webmaster Brent Wade, a professional who has given the ISC many years of fine service. Brent assisted our ISC Web Director, Al Doran, with the technical side of the web site and produced a complete makeover of the site on a couple of occasions and automated many facets of the site including the Tournament List and Contact List but most notably the results page of the World Tournament. Al has been able to update the web site within minutes of the end of each game at the WT.
