The tournament will feature 40 teams from across North America playing a four-game round robin schedule in eight pools of five teams each. Toronto, ON] – Defending Champion Elmira, ON Cubs claim top spot in the ISC II Preseason Rankings released today. Elmira tops a list of more than 50 teams from across North America that received at least one vote from the panel of 12 judges. Seven of the top 10 hail from the hotbed of ISCII fastball, the Ontario province. (not surprising, considering all four Final Four teams last year were from Ontario. Three teams from the USA have broken into the top 10, Black Gold from Herman, MO, Cutro Professional Inspection of NY (CPI, formerly McKie Sports), and KMV Rise, of PA, holding down the 7, 8 and 9 spots, respectively.

Ontario Canada Top 10 (ISC II)

Sunday, April 30th, 2006

From The Deuce (ISCII) Blog at Fastpitchwest:

Ontario ISC II Preseason Top 10
April 26th, 2006

With the fastball season only about a week away, it’s time for the 4th annual preseason rankings. For the Ontario ISC II Rankings this year, we will be using the average score of the Ontario teams that are ranked by the Ontario members of the ISC II Ranking Committee.

1. Elmira Cubs – The 2005 ISC II Champions come into the 2006 season ranked on top and all eyes will be on ToC Top Pitcher & MVP Casey Halstead. The Cubs have added a couple more graduating Waterloo Juniors to the team and there is concern about playing time for some, but an already impressive lineup may be even better in 2006. The Cubs are taking a big early step with the Woodstock Legends tourney on the heels of St. Clement’s.

ISC Moves Website

Official ISC Press Release, via Al’s Fastball: ISC Moves Website

ISC Moves Website Now you see it, now you see it. Regular visitors to the ISC web site may have noticed some subtle changes to the web site in the last day or two. The familiar, mostly blue screen of http://www.iscfastpitch.com/ is now mostly white. And behind this change are many more changes to the most popular web site in the fastball world. The reasons for this relate to a decision to move from our old host site BlueGenesis to a new provider, Net Reliant http://www.netreliant.com/ The reasons for this were many and complicated but involved the retirement of our previous webmaster Brent Wade, a professional who has given the ISC many years of fine service. Brent assisted our ISC Web Director, Al Doran, with the technical side of the web site and produced a complete makeover of the site on a couple of occasions and automated many facets of the site including the Tournament List and Contact List but most notably the results page of the World Tournament. Al has been able to update the web site within minutes of the end of each game at the WT.
