LP-Sebastian Gervasutti
# 26 Rude Pac, of Sun Valley, California knocked off # 11 Bakersfield Silverhawks 4-0, behind the 9 strikeout performance of Gerald Pyle. Pyle worked the first five innings, while Cory Avery worked the final inning in relief. The Silverhawks scored one run in the first, as Jason Obregon led off with a base hit, and came around to score on a RBI hit by Ron Brannon.

The game remained a pitchers duel between Gervasutti and Pyle until the 5th when Rude Pac scored 3 runs on 4 hits. Jason Obregon broke things open with a line drive to left center field, driving in two. Joe Vigil pushed an infield hit in front of the plate for the third run.

Bakersfield was unable to muster much offense against Pyle, who mixed a change up very effectively, amidst the hard stuff. Bakersfield got a runner to third in the fifth with no one out, but the runner was cut down in an unsuccessful suicide squeeze play.
