The 2008 men’s fastpitch season gets underway today at Holifield Park in Norwalk as Fernie Ramirez and his Panteras team host the 19th Annual “Ace” Memorial tournament. Among the teams competing in the upper division is Rude Pac, the reigning NAFA A-Major champions from 2007. The Pac, headed up by Rudy Montanez, Jr. has improved its roster for 2008, and is gearing up the NAFA World Series, and perhaps its first foray into the ISC II Tournament of Champions, set for August 10-13, 2008 in Appelton, Wisconsin.
Games start at 8am, and will run late into the evening, with today’s final set due to start at 8:15pm. Sunday’s schedule has three sets of games slated starting at 8:30am, with the uppper and lower division championship games set for 1:15pm.
