USA Softball announces pool


OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Amateur Softball Association announced today the 28 athletes invited to attend the USA Softball Men’s National team selection camp May 23-26 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. The Men’s National Team Selection Committee will be choosing a team to compete in the Tri-Nation Competition taking place July 3-6 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Canada, Japan and the U.S. are the three participating teams. The 18-member team will be announced on Friday, May 30 at noon/CST.

The athletes invited to attend the camp are listed below in alphabetical order:

The 2008 USA Softball Men’s National team will be led by head coach Peter Turner (Stockton, Calif.) and assistants Thad Brown (Modesto, Calif.) and Avon Meacham (Upper Marlboro, Md.).
