San Diego State Women Win Two, Climb to #26 in Rankings

Cap tip to my good friend, Steve Miner, who is an assistant coach at San Diego State. Steve is a former Long Beach Nitehawk, Vista Bomber (player and manager) and player/manager of my 50+ team, LB Deadwood, nabbing a 3rd place finish in 2007 and 2nd place finish in 2008. He’s also won the very competitive OMBAC World Championship Over-the-Line tournament in San Diego. Winning seems to follow him…..

March 31, 2010:

FULLERTON, Calif. – Junior Jen Wisneski (Riverside, Calif.) homered and the San Diego State softball team overcame a season-high five errors in a 2-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton Wednesday afternoon in Fullerton, Calif. The Aztecs, who are receiving votes in both the USA Today/NFCA and ESPN.com/USA Softball national polls, improved to 21-9 and have won 13 of their last 14 games. Full story here.

March 30, 2010:

The San Diego State softball team scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back en route to an 8-0, six-inning victory over Long Beach State Tuesday in Long Beach, Calif. The Aztecs (20-9), who are receiving votes once again in both the USA Today/NFCA and ESPN.com/USA Softball national polls, have now won 12 of their last 13 games. Full story here.
