[Alsfastball] Jarvis Merchants

Jarvis Merchants claim the title in 1st Annual Jarvis Merchants tournament 
held this past weekend, with a 3-2 win over the Innerkip Eagles.

The Merchants started an undefeated weekend with a 6-2 win over Six Nations 
Redmen.  Followed by 8-0 and 6-4 wins over Palermo and Union Storm to set 
up the final game with Innerkip.

Strong pitching from Andrew Phibbs and weekend pickup Rob Schweyer, as well 
as solid defense and timely hitting led the Merchants to their first 
tournament win of the season.

Tournament MVP honors went to Jarvis Merchants second baseman, Adam Smith.

The Merchants are off to Kitchener for a doubleheader June 30.
Their next home game is Wednesday July 7 which will be a rematch with 
Innerkip Eagles.  For $7.00, come join the Merchants that evening for a 
fish fry provided by D&D Dinner at 6 pm. followed by a doubleheader 
starting at 7:15pm.
