In front of a full house (1000), the Tom Dinsdale Invitational in Grand 
Island, NE got started with two nice ball games Friday.  The Broken Bow 
Spirit and the Calgary Diamonds split an exhibition DH with the Diamonds 
and Andrew Kirkpatrick (11 ks) grabbing game 1 in  come from behind 
fashion, 4-2 and the Spirit winning game 2, 5-2. The details will be on our 
web site, http://www.bowspirit.com  tomorrow along with the other scores of 
all the games at the Platte Deutsche.
Both teams played shorthanded. The Spirit without Gerald Muizelaar, Ryan 
Wolfe and Omar Moraga and the Diamonds without David Boys, Boomer Brush, 
Sean Whitten and a host of others.
