Game 2
The Bar of Appleton played an extremely competitive game against its sister
team The Bar on the Avenue which is currently ranked #23 in the
ISC's. Both teams were scoreless going into the top of the sixth when the
Bar on the Ave scored first when Trent Noe had a lead off double and
advanced on a steal and scored on a passed ball. The Bar on the Avenue
then scored 3 more runs as our defense failed us when 3 errors were
committed. The Bar of Appleton answered in the top of the seventh when
Terry Hanke reached by hit bats men, was advanced on a sacrifice bunt.
moved to third on a hit by Brian Miler. Hanke then scored when Tony Schaaf
singled to left. Mike Roberts then shut the team down.

In the final game of the tournament for the Bar of Appleton we played
Circle Tap (#4 ISC's) to a very competitive 4 to 0. We were unable to
really mount much of an offense but were able to use strong defense and
pitching to keep Circle Tap in check until the 5th when Chris Miljavac hit
a two run homer and then added two more homers in the 6th by Robbie O'Brien
and Dan Garvey.

The Bar of Appleton now carries a 25 and 17 record on the year. 6 of our
losses come to teams ranked in the top 25 of the ISC's and Wilber Lime and
Earls Club providing 6 other quality losses. We also stand in a tie for
first place in the Kimberly Paper Valley League.
We will be back in tournament action at a local tournament in Barneveld,
