at Duncan McLellan Park, Owen Sound

Scenic City Automotive Crunch 8 Howick Hitmen 5

The Crunch took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st on a 2 run single by 
Tony Lisk.

Howick came back in the third as left fielder Jeremy Creedon stroked a 2 
run double to tie the game and then came around to score later and give the 
Hitmen a 3-2 lead.

In the bottom of the 4th, Jason Redmond regained the lead for the Crunch 
with a 2 run single.

Crunch first baseman Darryl Sprung extended the lead to 7-3 with a 3 run homer.

Creedon would get his third hit of the game for Howick in the 5th and cut 
the Crunch lead to 7-4.

Sprung had his 4th r.b.i in the 6th to give Scenic City Automotive an 8-4 lead.

In the top of the 7th, Drew Fiddler tripled and scored to make the final 
result 8-5.

Bev Underwood went all the way for the victory in the pitching cicle for 
Scenic City Automotive.

The Crunch will be among the 24 teams competing this weekend at the 30th 
annual Desboro Fastball Tournament.

The tournament will use 4 diamonds; 2 at Desboro plus the fields in 
Chatsworth & Williamsford.

Play starts Friday and runs through the weekend.
