Five Inducted into the ISC Hall of Fame


Two left handed pitchers, a catcher, an infielder-outfielder, and a 
manager/coach were inducted into the International Softball Congress Hall 
of Fame during the ceremonies at the 2004 ISC World Tournament in Fargo ND. 
Sunday Aug 15th.

The Honored Group Includes:

*Ed Daniels – A catcher who was three times an all world selection while 
playing for the Clovis (Calif) Cowboys. In his six ISC World Tournaments he 
hit for a combined .385 average.

*Bob Osborn – A four time all-world performer twice as an outfielder and 
twice as a first baseman playing with the Downey (Calif) Impalas. In his 
ISC World Tournament career he captured both a leading hitter and an RBI title.

*Jerry Ralfs – An ace left-handed pitcher who hurled for teams from Rock 
Island (Ill) He was twice voted to the all world tournament team.

*Mark Smith – One of the game’s all-time top left handed pitchers. A four 
time all world player who hurled the Camarillo (Calif) Kings to consecutive 
ISC World Tournament titles. He was the ISC “Outstanding Pitcher” in the 
1981 ISC World Tournament.

*Norb Thurmer – A man who has been “Mr. St. Louis Softball” for the past 50 
years: a player, a coach and manager, a sponsor, and the man behind the 
scenes with a giant footprint on the game in his home area.
