The much anticipated 5th and deciding game in the SRFL semi final proved to 
be anti-climatic, as Minesing laid a beating on the Wyevale Tribe to 
advance to the final.

Minesing plated 6 runs in the bottom of the first inning on their way to a 
7-0 win.  Keith Rankin led the game off with a solo shot to left.  Rankin's 
blast was followed up by a single from Jamie McLean and a hits batsmen to 
Paul Priest.  Rob McLean then stepped up and homered to right, giving the 
home team a 4-0 lead before Wyevale had even recorded an out.  They tacked 
on 2 more in the inning, and then 1 more in the 4th for their side of the 
ledger.

On the mound for Minesing Kurt Glover threw a no hitter, and faced the 
minimum 21 batters.  His only blemish a walk in the 6th inning that was 
quickly erased by a double play.

So Minesing moves on to the final to attempt to repeat as SRFL 
champions.  Their opponent will be either last year's runner up, Vasey, or 
the upstart Perkinsfield Bantus, whose series is also going the distance 
with game 5 scheduled for monday night.
