After two games in the best-of-five championship in the Kemptville area
league defending champion Kanata Team Easton and the Fitzroy Harbour West
Carleton Electric are tied at one win apiece, with both victories going to
the visiting team.

Game 1: Fitzroy Harbour 3 Kanata 2 (8 innings)
WP - Bud Hanlon, LP - Dan Konkle

Game 1 was played on Sep 22, with Fitzroy winning 3-2 in eight innings.
After two scoreless innings, Fitzroy scored in the top of the third, with
Neil Murphy hitting a lead of double and being brought in by a Jon Daley
single. Easton responded in the bottom of the third, with Al Read scoring on
a Randy Peck sacrifice fly to left field. Mike Cavanagh hit a solo home run
in the top of the fourth to put Fitzroy up 2-1. In the bottom of the
seventh, Kyle Olson reached on a walk, was moved to second on a Al Read
sacrifice bunt and was brought home with a clutch RBI double by "Pedro"
Harvey. With the international rule in effect, Fitzroy scored Neil Murphy
with a Steve Johnson bloop single in the top of the eighth. Fitzroy
intentionally walked Randy Peck in the bottom of the eighth and Big Bud
Hanlon got the next three outs he needed to seal the win. Hanlon gave up 8
hits, fanning nine. Konkle gave up 6 hits, fanning nine.

Game 2: Kanata 4 Fitzroy Harbour 0
WP - Dan Konkle, LP - Bud Hanlon

Game 2 was played on Sep 23 in front of a good-sized crowd of about 150 at
the Carp Fair and Team Easton shut out the WC Electric by a score of 4-0.
Dan Konkle threw a 3-hit shutout and struck out eleven. Kanata scored three
in the top of the second. Randy Peck singled, then John Peck hit a two run
homer. The next batter, Cory Morrison, hit a solo homer to put Easton up
3-0. The only other scoring in the game occurred in the top of the fifth.
Todd Fraser led off with a triple to right field. The next two batters were
retired, but then Cory Morrison had an infield hit to the right side of the
diamond to score Fraser, for his second RBI of the game. Bud Hanlon, in his
third game in three days, gave up 8 hits and struck out seven. The game
rekindled interest in the Carp area, and there were some post-game
discussions about a possible league team in Carp for 2005.

Game 3 will be at the Stittsville diamond on September 29 at 8:00PM.
