Hi Al

The Danish fastball season came to an end this weekend.

The Ballerup Vandals played the Allerod Penguins in the final for the 3rd 
year in a row. The Allerod Penguins had won their first European 
Championships 2 weeks previously, defeating the Ballerup team 2-1 in the 
round robin play and beating the National Champions from the Czech Republic 
in the final 8-4. Thomas Bond from the Ballerup Vandals won the best 
pitcher award at the European Cup even though the Ballerup team ended 4th 
in the Tournament.

   The Ballerup Vandals got revenge at the Danish Nationals, defeating the 
Allerod team 4-2 and 6-2 in the best out of 3 final. Allerod pitcher Martin 
Holmberg had to be replaces on the mound in the 6th inning of the first 
game down 4-2. Martin was hit by a pitch, while batting, 2 innings earlier.

The Ballerup Vandals have now won the Danish National Championships for the 
5th year in a row.



The Ballerup team participated in the ISC in Fargo, ND in August this year. 
They posted a 1 win and 3 losses record, in the round robin play, loosing 2 
close games, one to Peterbero Ricart Pros and one to the Quad City Sox.

Having won the European Championships this year, the Allerod Penguins have 
been invited to the ISC in Eau Claire WI next year. I would like to wish 
them the best of luck at the ISC next year.
