Denmark, WI


The Circle Tap Fastpitch team finished the first weekend of Travel League
play with a 5-1 mark.  Weather was a bit cool Friday and Saturday with
very chilly nights but Sunday the weather was warm with some wind.
Missing this weekend was Kyle Magnusson.

Game 1
Friday 7:30

#5Circle Tap 6 #14The Bar on the Avenue 1

Circle Tap started the season against a familiar foe in The Bar. Some new
faces for The Bar makes them a very strong team.  In the bottom of the 1st
Chris Miljavac led off with a base hit followed by a two run blast by Adam
LaLonde.  With one out Robbie O'Brien knocked one out for an early 3-0
lead.  In the bottom of 2, with one out new catcher Steve Sell picked up a
triple and later scored on a double by Miljavac.  Don Garvey led off the
bottom half of the 4th with a HR.  In the bottom of 6 Garvey led off with
a double and scored on a Sell triple.  Robbie O'Brien earned the win
yielding just one hit in the 7th.  Miljavac 2x3 2B, Sell 2x2 2 3B, Garvey
2x3 HR 2B, O'Brien HR.

Game 2
Friday 9PM
#5 Circle Tap 12 #22 Happy Hollow 0  6innings

Chris Miljavac led off the game with a triple and later scored on a double
steal.  In the top of Garvey walked Jody Hennigar singled singled, with
one out Darren Derricks reached on a FC, stole 2nd and Kevin Reichardt
picked up a base hit knocking in two.  In the 5th, Mijavac reached on an
error, LaLonde reached on an error, Delarwelle sacrificed in Miljavac and
with two out Don Garvey hit a two run blast for a 6-0 lead.  In the 6th,
with two out Reichardt drew a walk, Miljavac walked, LaLonde walked,
O'Brien picked up a 2RBI base hit followed by a base hit by Garvey and a
two RBI base hit by Hennigar and then Sell picked up an RBI double.

Game 3

#5 Circle Tap 2 #17 Shoots/Townline 0

Chris Miljavac led off the game with a solo shot and Don Garvey hit a home
run in the 6th for the difference.  Miljavac finished 2x3. Dyck yielded 3
hits and struck out 8

#5 Circle Tap 12 #22 Happy Hollow 2  3innings

Miljavac led off the bottom of the 1st with a walk, LaLonde sacrified him
to 2nd, Chris Delarwelle picked up an RBI double, with two out Todd
Malnory picked up a base hit followed by a Steve Sell base hit and a 3 run
blast by Kevin Reichardt to make it 5-0.  In the bottom of 3 Malnory hit a
HR with one out, followed by a Steve Sell triple, Reichardt walked,
Derricks picked un an RBI single, with two out Miljavac picked up a 2RBI
double, then LaLonde smashed a 2 run shot and Chris Delarwelle knocked one
out to end the game via the 10 run rule after 3.

Game 5
8:30 Saturday

#5 Circle Tap 8 #14 The Bar on the Avenue 6  9innings

The Bar picked up a pair of runs in the 3rd and added another in the 4th
to grab a 3-0 lead.  Circle Tap struck with 2 in the top of 5 as Garvey
led off with a walk and Jody Hennigar picked up a 2 run homer.  The Bar
added a pair in the 6th.  CT grabbed 4 runs in the top of the 7th to take
a 6-5 lead.  With one out Reichardt doubled followed by a Miljavac RBI
triple and with two out Delarwelled smashed a 2 run shot.  O'Brien drew a
walk and Garvey picked up an RBI triple.  The Bar's John zipperer hit a
solo shot to even the score at 6.  In the 9th via the international tie
breaker rule CT started with Reichardt on 2nd and he moved to 3rd on a
wild pitch.  Miljavac picked up a sac fly to knock in the run.  LaLonde
then singled, Delarwelle walked and O'Brien picked up an RBI single.
O'Brien in relief of Dyck held The Bar scoreless in the bottom half to
earn the win.

Game 6
3:15 sunday

#17 Shoots/Townline 5 #5 Circle Tap 1

CT struggled with the bats in this one.  We picked up just 3 hits, two by
Rob O'Brien.  Shoots/Townline got 4 runs in the 2nd as Gustavo Guerineri
reached on an error Stephen Mullaley singled and Jim Corbett drew a two
out walk.  Joel Southam then smashed a grand slam to take a 4-0 lead.  CT
cut the lead to 4-1 in the 4th as Delarwelle drew a walk and O'Brien
doubled him in.
