JRW & Associates are 1-1 in Pool Play at ISC II ToC

Casper Park, Chippewa Falls, WI ...At the International Softball Congress II
Tournament of Champions, JRW & Associates of Yakima, WA are 1-1 after two
days of pool play.

In Game 15, the Associates beat Galena, IL Keg and Cask Liquor in a 5-inning
mercy game, 7-0. Galena's ace pitcher, Larry Timpe, and only regular pitcher
took a batted ball off his right pitching elbow in the third inning and had
to leave the game. Larry is probably finished for the tournament. (Dream
Seams, anyone ??)

JRW SS Paul Reyes had a three run homer and a two run homer to lead the 11
hit effort. CF Tim Fischer was 3 for 3 with one run scored and one RBI.

JRW Pitcher Dave Drotzmann threw a perfect game for 4 innings. When the
leadoff batter in the 5th singled, Matt Barnes relieved for the first two
outs of the 5th and Travis Kraft struck out the last batter to end the game.

In Game 30 against the two time defending champions Harriston, Ontario
Mercury, JRW pitcher Matt Barnes was called for several illegal pitches and
allowed a single earned run in the first inning. A two out throwing error by
JRW in the 4th inning allowed two more Harriston runs to score for a 3-0
lead. In the 5th inning, Harriston loaded the bases on a single and two hit
batsmen by Matt Barnes. Pitcher Dave Drotzmann relieved and ended the inning
without any Harriston scores with two groundouts and a strikeout.

In B6, JRW catcher Troy Grow reached on an error, advanced to third on LF
Dave Carlton's single, then scored on 3B Kasey Knight's infield ground-out.
Harriston's Shaun Winship relieved and struck out the side in B7 to preserve
the 3-1 victory.
