Day 7 Highlights
Gold Medal Game
British Columbia vs Ontario – Extra Inning Finish
Ontario got off to an early 2-0 lead in the Gold 
Medal game; Andy Skelton (Scarborough, ON) and 
Taylor Potma (Toronto, ON) hit back to back RBI 
singles in the top of the 1st inning to give them 
the early edge.  Ontario added another run in the 
top of the 2nd when Brad Fogal hit a solo home 
run.  In the bottom of the 5th inning Bryan Abrey 
(Richmond, BC) hit a 2 RBI single to make the 
game Ontario 3 BC 2.  Later in the inning Hunter 
smashed a 2 RBI double to give BC their first 
lead of the game.  Kevin Smillie (Squamish, BC) 
then scored on a pass ball to make the score BC 5 
Ontario 3 after 5 innings of play.  With 2 men on 
in the top of the 6th Colin Thome (Scarborough, 
ON) hit a sac fly that scored a run followed by a 
Chris Lewis (Camden East, ON) RBI double that tied the game.
In extra innings (top of the 8th) Chris Lewis hit 
a 2 run home run and made the game 7-5 in 
Ontario's favour.  British Columbia scored 1 run 
in the bottom of the 8th but that is as close as 
they would get.  Jordan MacDonald (Napanee, ON) 
struck out the final BC batter, giving Ontario 
the gold and British Columbia the silver.
