in Wednesday's action at Canadians

By Pat Healey

ST. THOMAS, ONT. - The Kinkora O'Shea's Pub and Eatery Hitmen are
right back in the thick of things at the 2005 Senior Men's Canadians
following two huge 2-1 wins here Wednesday.

The Hitmen picked up the wins over the Innerkip Bright Cheese House
Eagles and Prince George Black Bears 2-1 to sit at 4-3 and can finish
no worse then 4-4.

They face the host St. Thomas, Ont. Centennials in the feature game
Thursday night at 8:30 p.m. EDT to end the round robin and are
looking for their fourth straight win after a slow start.

Meanwhile, the Charlottetown Fawcetts gained their first win with a
2-0 defeat of winless Alberta Diamond Express. Later Wednesday,
Charlottetown dropped to 1-5 with a 3-0 loss to Vancouver Grey Sox.

The Fawcetts remaining two games see them against Newfoundland and
Labrador Impact Signs at 10 a.m. EDT before facing Saskatoon Interior
Aspen Black Sox in a game that the Hitmen needs the Fawcetts to win
at 2 p.m. EDT.

Both teams are in the Source for Sports Men's Intermediate Fast pitch league.
