Oshawa, ON

The Oshawa City and District Fastball League Playoff Semi - Final 
series were set last Wednesday night as the three remaining semi - 
finalists were established  when the Stouffville Mennos  and the 
Toronto Champion Indians swept their best two out of three series 
against  Claremont Rebels and Oshawa Ravens respectively.

Lake Simcoe Lightning had already clinched a semi - final spot when 
on Tuesday night they swept their quarter final series against 
Newmarket's Mudhen's Fastball with an 11 - 3 win as Rick May topped 
Dave Eschli in the pitching department.

Wednesday, pitcher Byron Baranieski of the Stouffville Mennos, 
prevailed over Paul Koert and his Rebels by a score of 4 - 3 for 
their sweep. Grant Patterson was the winning pitcher as the Toronto 
Champion Indians topped the Oshawa Ravens 4 - 1 for their sweep. Greg 
Garritty  took the loss for the Ravens.
