Pool Coaches

Men’s National Team Softball Program



An exciting opportunity exists to join Softball 
Canada in the role of Pool Coach of the Men’s 
National Team Program.   The Pool Coaches will 
work closely with the Head Coach in the pursuit 
of podium results at Major International 
Competitions with the Senior, Developmental 
and/or Junior Programs while contributing, 
through their engagement, to the physical, 
psychological and social development of each athletes.



To be considered for the position, candidates should possess:
    * International/Elite Softball Playing or Coaching Experience;
    * Advanced Technical Knowledge in the areas 
of Hitting and Pitching and Defensive Play
    * Above average Interpersonal and Communication Skills
    * The ability to work effectively in a “Team oriented environment”
    * The capacity to travel domestically and abroad for extended periods;



Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset but is not mandatory.



Certification at Level 4 under the National 
Coaching Certification Program will be considered 
an asset, but not mandatory.  Successful 
candidates may be required (under Sport Canada 
and the Canada Olympic Committee policies) to 
work towards Level 4 certification.
