Al,

   I would like to inform the softball community of the sad occurance that 
has occured in Newfoundland today, Christmas day.  Brian Dunphy, one of the 
most well known and most successful softball coaches in the histroy of 
Newfoundland has lost his battle with cancer.  Most recently he coached the 
Canada Games Girls team in Saskatoon.  Brian was a true ambassador of the 
sport in Newfoundland and I ask all whom recieve this message to take a 
moment of silence to remember this great man.
