Legends Classic Celebrates 5 Fastball Heroes

One of the most anticipated and unique aspects of the Legends
of Fastball Classic is the Saturday recognition of those who
havemade “legendary contributions” to the game of fastball in
the Woodstock area, Internationally and for the betterment of
the game.

While a legend is considered to be a remarkable performer orperhaps
someone who is famous for achievement, the selection committee
has realized that a legend means much more than someone who has
excelled on the field. Certainly those who have been honoured
in the past include an elite group of National Team veterans,
club team stars and the best of woman’s fastball performers.
In addition, builders of the game, major sponsors and media personnel
who have championed our game have all been given their due recognition,
albeit in many cases much too long overdue.

This year 5 more names will be added to the Legends Honour Roll
and each will receive their due recognition in ceremonies scheduledfor
2:00 pm Saturday afternoon at the Woodstock District Community
Complex Diamonds.
