The Dolan and Murphy Shamrocks of Aurora, IL completeda succesful
5-0 
weekend of games in the opening weekend of the Northern Illinois
Travel
league with wins against ATMI Precast, Richwrap Elburn and Humbolt
Parkfrom 
Chicago. Many thanks to the Aurora fans for their support throughout
the
weekend and also to the Humbolt Park Association for their hospitatlityin

Humbolt Park on Sunday afternoon. Brief Match Summaries below:

Game 1   6/16/06         Stuart Park  -Aurora, IL

WP         Juan Pololicchio  (7 Inn, 3H, 17K)
LP          Jason Iuli   (7Inn, 11H, 10K)

HR: Mike Drew, Andrew Havercroft(DM) ; Mike Glock (ATMI)

The Shamrocks bats were too much to handle for the young ATMI
side in the
opening game for both teams. Multiple hits came from Cooper Carson,
DJCocks 
and Jay Lavender while Juan Potolicchio dominated on the mound
collecting
17K's for the night, giving up one run on a solo homerun by Mike
Glock.

Game 2    6/17/06      Stuart Park   -  Aurora, IL

HR:   Adam Perkins, Andrew Havercroft, Brian Tobin (DM)

The bats again fired for Dolan and Murphy scoring 10 runs from
12 hitsto 
defeat Richwrap in the first game of a travel league double header.
Forthe 
shamrocks mutliple hits came from Brian Tobin (1b,2b,HR), Luis
Saldana
(1b,3b) and Andrew Havercroft (1b,2b, HR). Adam Perkins, Dave
Perkins,Jarod 
Gutesha and Mike Drew also collected hits. Juan Potolicchio again
pitched
for Dolan and Murphy giving up 1 run in 5 innings and striking
out 8.

HR:     Dave Perkins, Jay Lavender, Andrew Havercroft

Richwrap bounced back in game 2 scoring runs early but the Dolan
and Murphy
bats were too strong late in the game to complete the game in
5 innings.
Multiple hits came from Adam Perkins, Cooper Carson, Brian Tobin,
MikeDrew 
and Andrew Havercroft, while Dave Perkins, Luis Saldana and DJ
Cocks had
single hits. Jason Iuli struggled early but bounced back to collect
thewin 
in 5 innings for Dolan and Murphy.


Game 4       6/18/06        HumboltPark - Chicago, IL

HR:     DJ Cocks, Luis Saldana

In a high scoring closely contested game, Dolan and Murphy fought
backfrom 
a 1 run deficit in the 7th inning to force a tie break. In the
eightth
inning neither team was able to score, but in the 9th inning
the Shamrocks
broke the game open scoring 4 runs in the top of the inning and
holdingout 
an aggressive Humbotl Park batting lineup. Multiple hits came
from Adam
Perkins, Luis Saldana, Mike Drew and DJ Cocks. On the mound Jason
Iuli
started the game for Aurora giving up 8 runs in 6 Innings. Juan
Potolicchio
was outstanding in closing the game out not giving up a run in
the last3 
innings and collecting the win for the Shamrocks.

Game 5        6/18/06           Humbolt Park -  Chicago, IL

In another closely contested game, Dolan and Murphy's offense
was enoughto 
get them across the line against a strong Humbolt Park outfit.
Multiplehits 
came from Jarod Gutesha, Mike Drew and Andrew Havercroft. Juan
Potolicchio
collected his 4th win for the weekend in another dominant effort
strkingout 
13 accross 7 innings.


The Shamrocks will next be in action at the Boys of Summer Tournament
tobe 
held in Denmark, WI July 7-9.
