throughout the weekend


Host CR/Portland won their own tournament, the well-established
Rose
Cup, for the first time Sunday, with a 6-1 win over the So Cal
Bombers. Portland made it to the championship game last year,
but
finished second to the Vancouver Grey Sox. In 2006, however,
Portland
captured gold with a perfect 7-0 weekend. Brian Ree homered in
the
championship game, while pitcher Terry Luster picked up the win,
over
the Bombers' Travis Price. The So Cal Bombers finished with a
6-1
record for second place, while Team Rainey was 5-1 for third
place.
