Game 1
#4 Kitchener 1,  #10 Explorers 0
WP - Paul Koert (3H, 9K, 1BB), LP - Grant Patterson (3H, 5K,
0BB)
Kitchener scored on a Jody Eidt triple in the 4th.  Steve Horning,
STeve Roberts, Todd Moore, and Eddy Ketelhut had hits for Midland.
 
Game 2
#2 Farm 4, Explorers 2
WP - Dean Holein (4H, 10K, 3BB), LP - Grant Patterson (6H, 5K,
3BB)
MIdland scored in the bottom of the 1st when Rino Dambrosio scored
on a wild pitch.  Farm scored on sac flies by Dallman and Lynch,
a homer by Budke, and single by Wolfe.  Dambrosio hit a homer
in the 7th for Midland's final run.
 
Game 3
Explorers 6, #7 Aspen Black Sox (Saskatoon, SK) 5
WP - Grant Patterson -relief of MIke Crawford (4 innings, 2H,
0BB, 0K), LP - Sean Whitten in relief of Trevor Eithier
Roberts drove in 2 runs with a double in the 1st inning and a
single in the 3rd.  Aspen scored 4 runs in the 2nd (including
a 3-run, inside the park homer by Geoff Evely) and one in the
3rd.  Dave Frick drove in Eddy Ketelhut and scored on a wild
pitch in the 4th to tie the game.  Steve Horning drove in the
winning run in the top of the 7th.
 
Horning was 3x3 and Roberts and Ketelhut each had 2 hits.
 
Playoffs
#3 Orillia 5, Explorers 4
WP - Frank Cox - in relief of Rob O'Brien, LP - MIke Crawford
(8H, 3K, 3BB)
Midland scored 4 in the 6th on RBI singles by Craig Crawford
and Kyle Beane.  Steve Roberts scored 2 with a double.  Orillia
took the lead on a 2-run homer by Dan Loney and solo homer by
Steve Mullaly.
 
Season record is 18-8-1
