WorldwideTelecasts Set for the World Cup of Softball Presented
by Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes 

Oklahoma City, OK -- The World Cup of Softball presented by Kellogg’s
Frosted Flakes will bebroadcast in 200 countries around the world,
according to the Amateur SoftballAssociation (ASA), the National
Governing Body for the sport of softball in theUnited States
and host of the II World Cup.


"We are excited to have the World Cup of Softball presented by
Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes distributedto sports fans around the
globe" said Ron Radigonda, Executive Director, ASA. "This event
wascreated to give fans the opportunity to witness the top women’s
softballplayers in the world on an annual basis, and the worldwide
television coverageis vital to ensure that these games are available
in our continuing efforts togrow the sport.”

The World Cup of Softball is also making its debut on television
in Europe withlive coverage of five games through outEurope on
Eurosport 2.  “Softballhas been a legitimate global sport for
over 40 years and deals like thisauthenticate our position,”
Radigonda noted.

The ESPN networks are the exclusive domestic home of the World
Cup of Softballand feature over 12 hours of live coverage on
ESPN and ESPN2 highlighted bymultiple prime time windows including
the Championship Game on Monday, July 17at 9 p.m. ET.  All broadcasts
will be done in HD and available on therespective ESPN HD channels.

World Cup of Softball presented by Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes
The World Cup of Softball presented by Kellogg’sFrosted Flakes,
a six-team tournament sanctioned by theInternational Softball
Federation (ISF), will feature the best fast pitchsoftball players
in the world competing for their respective national teams.The
six teams invited to participate in the event will compete in
pool playfrom July 13-16. The top two teams from pool play will
be seeded into theChampionship Game on July 17 while the remaining
teams to battle for third andfifth place respectively.  Japandefeated
the United Stateslast year to claim the inaugural Championship.
