USASoftball Announces Invitees For Upcoming Selection Camps

 

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – USA Softball announced today its list
ofinvitees for two upcoming selection camps to be hosted in Chula
Vista, Calif.The 2006 Junior Women’s National Team selection
camp  will be heldSeptember 15-18 followed by the 2007 USA Softball
National Training Teamselection camp September 18-22. The Junior
Women’sNational Team will compete in November at the Pan Am Qualifier
which will beused as a qualifier for the ISF Junior Women’s World
Championships in2007. The National Training Team will represent
the USA at the 2006 Japan Cup inNovember. 

 

The 28 participants invited to the Women’s National Teamselection
camp scheduled for September 18-22 in Chula Vista, Calif., are*Monica

Mike Candrea (headcoach at University of Arizona) will led the
selection camp and will beassisted by John Rittman (head coach
at Stanford University), Karen Johns (headcoach University of
Virginia), Barbara Jordan (head coach at Cal-StateNorthridge),
Suzy Brazney (head coach at Golden West College), Stacy Iveson(head
coach at Pima College) and Teresa Wilson (head coach at Texas
TechUniversity).

 

A total of 34 athletes have been invited to compete in the JuniorWomen’s
National Team selection camp scheduled for September 15-18 in
Chula Vista, Calif.The invitees for the Junior Women’s National

Candrea will again lead the selection camp and will be assisted
by JayMiller (head coach at Mississippi State), Cheri Kempf (Owner
of Club K),Brazney, Jordan, Mark Lumley (assistant coach at Baylor
University) and BrianKolze (head coach at Pacific University).
