Doreen Dalton tournament opens in Lower Hutt 
Friday 20th October 2006

The first games in the premier one men’s Doreen Dalton softballtournament
at Fraser Park, Lower Hutt were played out tonight with theopening
round completed.

In the feature game this evening Miramar have come out on top
over HuttValley Cardinals with a 3-2 tie breaker victory. Other
results sawJohnsonville defeat Hutt Valley Dodgers 7-0 and Kapiti
beat Stoke ofNelson 7-1.

The tournament will run throughout the long weekend with the
14 enteredteams split into two sections for round robin play
ahead of the final onMonday.
