Surprise upsets on day two 

The Queensland women’s team remains undefeated as day two of
the Australian Fastpitch Championship at Blacktown Olympic Park
draws to a close. 

In today’s play, Queensland dominated on the diamond defeating
Tasmania/Northern Territory 12-0 and Victoria 8-1. 

Victoria defeated South Australia 4-0 to continue their winning
streak, but went down to New South Wales 6-5 in a thrilling game.

Western Australia is currently third on the ladder with three
wins from four games, with surprise wins over New South Wales
and ACT. 

New South Wales notched up their first wins after a disappointing
day one, defeating South Australia 12-0 and Victoria. 

South Australia and Tasmania/Northern Territory are still seeking
a win as the competition heats up. 

ACT and New South Wales will wrap up day two for the women at
6.00pm tonight. 

In the men’s competition, ACT continued to dominate on the
mound and with the bat defeating New South Wales 11-0. They are
currently taking on Victoria on Diamond 1 and leading 4-1 in
the bottom of the fourth innings. 

Northern Territory defeated Queensland 4-2 in a surprise upset
and Western Australia who are currently in second place, defeated
Northern Territory 10-1. 

Western Australia is currently playing Queensland with Victoria
and New South Wales scheduled for 7.00pm (AEST).
