Eleven Softball Associations to 'Get In The Game'!

ELEVEN SOFTBALL ASSOCIATIONS TO ‘GET IN THE GAME’

NORTH YORK, ONTARIO – Softball Ontario is thrilled to announce
that eleven Softball Associations have committed to sending delegates
to the first ever Get In The Game Symposium on Saturday February
17, 2007 at the Sport Alliance Building in North York.

Participants at the Get In The Game Symposium will address many
topics of interest for Softball Association Executives, including
improving house league softball, recruiting volunteers, promoting
your association and much more!

Softball Ontario is encouraging all Minor Softball Associations
across Ontario to send representatives to the Get In The Game
Symposium to explore the success of softball in Ontario and how
we can continue to improve grassroots softball into the future.


Participating Associations include:

- Ponsonby Minor Softball
- Guelph Girls Minor Softball Association
- Windsor Lady Expos Fastball Association
- Kanata Minor Softball Association
- Mississauga North Girls Softball
- St Catharines Ladies Softball
- Harriston Minor Ball (Town of Minto)
- Pickering Softball Association
- Milliken #1 Softball Association
- Orleans Amateur Fastball Association
- Waterloo Minor Girls Softball Association

Association Representatives attending the Symposium will be provided
with an overview of Softball Ontario’s efforts to promote participation
in Softball, and will learn how Softball Ontario may be able
to assist their league to grow in the future. 

Participants will also receive free promotional materials from
Softball Ontario that can be used to help promote registration
dates and softball programs.  Additional resources including
magnets, stress balls, T-Shirts, Learn to Play Manuals and DVDs
will be available for sale at the Symposium.

The Get In The Game Symposium is a wonderful chance for Softball
Associations to work together to make the game of Softball better
at all levels of the game.

                          12:30 PM – Luncheon & Marketplace
                           4:00 PM – Concluding Remarks & Prize

Travel (mileage) and accommodations will be provided by Softball
Ontario for those who qualify.  Participants in the Symposium
must register with Lisa Crompton at Softball Ontario before February
2, 2007.
