Aurora goes 4-0 to win 1st QC Winter Indoor Tournament

Davenport, IA

The Aurora Dolan & Murphy Shamrocks began their 2007 campaign
a little earlier than usual by winning the February 16th -17th
five-team, round-robin tournament in Davenport, IA. The Shamrocks
went 4-0 displaying both consistency on the mound and patience
at the plate.

Grizzled veteran Dan Hoffman and Samoan hurler, Jason Iuli, held
the competition scoreless in the three games that they threw.
Luis Saldana and Dave Perkins combined for the fourth victory.
 Unfortunately, we do not have pitching stats to share from the
weekend.

Offensive highlights include:

Adam Perkins (6x10 2BB 2T 2HBP 4RBI), Jason Iuli (4x7 3D 4RBI),
Jim Pecoraro (6x12, 1BB 2T 1D 4RBI), Dave Perkins (6x12 1BB 2T
1D 8RBI).

Every other Shamrock batted above .450 for the weekend: Cooper
Carson 5x11, Mike Glock 5x11, Mack Schmidt 5x11, Camden Decker
5x9, Luis Saldana 3x6, John Sudges 2x2 and Dan Hoffman 1x2 .

this tournament a success. It was a well ran event, and it is
always fun to play some new teams. We had a great time and look
