DeKalb, Il.

Hogs will have their full schedule next week.  The Hogs open
in DeKalb in two weeks for the Hustle Hogs Icebreaker Tournament.


Pitchers:

Tim Murphy: Led team in ERA in 2006.  Murphy was named Most Outstanding
Pitcher of the 2003 NAFA Class A World Series.

Brian Tobin: Led team in wins and strikeouts in 2006.  Also hit
.375.  Keeps improving every year he pitches.

Larry Lagerhausen: One of only two pitchers in Hogs history to
throw a no hitter.  Consistent pitcher with excellent control.
 Larry will be looked to for leadership and quality starts for
the Hogs.

Infield:

Mike Drew: Led team in doubles with 11 in 2006.  Hit .478.  Veteran
doesn't seem to be slowing down with age.  Continues to be one
of the Hogs' leading hitters year after year.

Chad Crutcher: Coach Matt Smith says Crutcher will lead off this
year.  Should adapt well.  Hit .350 last year with an OBA of
.458.  Excellent knowledge of the strike zone and great glove
makes Crutcher a very valuable commodity to the Hogs.

Tommy Crouch: Led team in three major categories including AVG
(.484) OBA (.563) & SLG (.703).  Named to ASA Mens Major All
American team in 2006.  Battled Spots Hernia all year in '06
and hopes to stay healthy in 2007.

Jay Armes: Jay hit .364 with a .411 OBA in 2006.  Jay has a lot
of power and continues to improve his defense.  Jay will also
pitch for the  Hogs farm team (Razorbacks) in 2007, as well as,
see some innings on the mound for the Hogs.

Shaun Ebert:  Had back problems late in the year in 2006.  Good
contact hitter and played good defense in 2006 at third base.
 Looking to get back to 2005 form at the plate.

Vince Virtue: Had a career year in 2006 for the Hogs hitting
.342.  Always valuable to the Hogs as he plays 6 different positions
well.

Catchers:
Brian Crouch: Hit .438 in 2006.  Great arm with the ability to
play any position.  Boasted a .667 slugging percentage as well.
 Member of 2006 Mens Major National Champions Circle Tap.

Dave Liddick: Hit a very respectable .294.  Can play OF as well.
 Improving as a catcher and starting to get a good feel for the
game.  Speedster who the Hogs will look to play many positions
in '07.

Outfield:

Shaun Cavasos: Had best year as a Hog in 2006 when he hit .312.
 Played excellent defense and will be the Hogs centerfielder
in 2007.  Good arm and great range in the outfield.

Matt Smith:  MVP of the Terry Deering Memorial Tournament in
2006 with the Hogs.  Hit .452 with a .533OBA for the Hogs in
2006.  Led Hogs in Home Runs (5), Runs (31) and Walks (18) last
year.  Did a fine job in '06 as first year manager.

Iqbal Padela: First year playing fastpitch last season.  Speedy
outfielder did a great job defensively for the Hogs in 2006.
 Hogs looking for a strong offensive year from Iq this year.
 Has the ability to lead the team in steals.

John Colvin:  Best year ever as a Hog.  Hit .419.  Consistent
hitter with a good eye.
