ALL ONTARIO FIELD FOR LEGENDS 2007, JUNE 1-3
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The host committee for the Legends of Fastball Classic are pleased
to announce the final field is set for the first major fastball
event of the summer in southern Ontario. For the first time the
entire field will be home grown as all 8 entries this year hail
from Ontario. Tournament Director Brian Paton is excited about
bringing some of the best teams in the game into his hometown
of Woodstock. " When you get down to the short stokes in any
major fastball event there is always an Ontario team fighting
it out for fastball supremacy", said Paton, himself a legend
in Canadian and International fastball circles. " It is a testament
to the endurance of the Ontario game when you see teams like
Kitchener-Waterloo celebrating their 40th anniversary while so
many teams have dropped by the way side in recent years."

The Legends lineup for 2007 will include the Kitchener-Hallman
Twins, Jarvis Merchants and the Orillia Riversharks. The Sharks
are chomping to get into the pool and prove their # 1 ISC pre-season
ranking is no fluke. The Twins and Merchants would love nothing
better than to sink a hook into the "big fish" early in the season.

The 2 time Canadian National Champion St. Thomas Evergreen Centennials
will be bringing their revamped squad into Woodstock. The Centennials
are always tough whether you meet them in early June or late
August. You don't win a Canadian Championship without their kind
of heart and talent.

The ISC 2 has taken great strides in the past few years, giving
the teams without the big budgets a chance to compete for a World
Championship in their own right. The Elmira Cubs surprised everyone
when they emerged as the King of the ISC 2 Hill in 2005. They
are looking to step up in the ranks and will get that chance
against the big boys in Woodstock. The Bridgeport Braves who
hosted the ISC 2 in Kitchener last year and again this year will
be out to show the loyal Woodstock fans that they mean to challenge
for intermediate level supremacy in August. They are a veteran
team with a lot of ex-Twins in their lineup who ousted Kitchener
last year in the Legends Classic.

The Innerkip Eagles are the host club again this year and are
now the elder statesmen of the Ontario ISC Travel League. These
country boys must be grain fed as they swing from the heels and
aren't afraid to get dirt on their shirt.

The Scarborough Royals round out the field at Legends. They bring
with them 2 National Jr. Championship banners and a reputation
of consistency over the past few years. They'll have their hands
full with the rest of the field but never count out speed and
youth when you go up against the big teams. Goliath is still
tying to figure out how he was bested by a sling shot .

Since this years field does not allow for a 4 game round robin
in each division, there will be a coin flip before each game
for home team. The coin flip will happen one half hour before
the scheduled game time at the bracket board attached to the
tournament office.
