Junior Elimination Tournament
July 6th to 8th 2007 – Legion Field in Coburg

Junior Elimination Tournament:
The Ontario Amateur Softball Association’s Junior Elimination

Tournament will be taking place July 6th to 8th, 2007. There
will be 
15 teams competing to raise their provincial standings at this

competition. The tournament will be hosted by Coburg Legion Minor

Softball with all games played at Legion Field.

Toanche Scarborough Napanee Ponsonby Waterloo
ORSA Breslau Oshawa Peterborough Elmira
Cobourg Kitchener Fingal Simcoe Smiths Falls

Midget Elimination Tournament Results:
The Ontario Amateur Softball Association’s Midget Elimination

Tournament took place this past weekend - June 29th to July 1st
- 
hosted by the Owen Sound Selects. The Napanee Express captured
top 
seeding, winning all 5 games and receiving the Vin Walker Midget

Elimination Plaque, with an 11-0 win against the Linwood Chiefs
in the 
final. Luke Leahy of Napanee was also awarded the Barry Ellerbeck

trophy as the tournament’s best pitcher.
The Napanee Express, Linwood Chiefs and Chepstow Colts have all
won the 
right to compete in the Midget Boys Canadian Fast Pitch Championships

in Saskatoon, SK, August 13th to 19th. The Brantford Heat and
Paris 
Predators will go on to play in the Eastern Canadians in Nova
Scotia. 
The Kitchener Kolts, Newmarket Stingers and Ponsonby Midgets
will round 
out the top 8 midget teams to compete for the Provincial “A”
Series 
crown in Paris, ON, July 28th to 29th. Congratulations to all
teams 
who participated, and special thanks to the Owen Sound Selects
for 
hosting a successful tournament.
