RICHARD NO HITS N.B. VICS
 
SUMMERSIDE - P.E.I. thrower Pierre Richard pitched six innings
of no hit ball and Matt Dawson (2-4) stole two bases and drove
home two runners as the host P.E.I. Source for Sports Twins mercied
the New Brunswick Miramichi Vics 7-0 to open day 4 here at the
2007 Causeway Bay Softball Canada Junior Men’s fast pitch championships.
Richard struck out seven and walked two in picking up the win.
Devon Praught (1-3, two RBI), Ryan Gallant (2-4, run scored,
double), Jeremy McKinnon (1-3, RBI) were P.E.I’s top batters.
Jeremy Regan went two and one third innings in taking the loss,
allowing on run on one hit, walking four and fanning one. Shane
Benjamin gave up six runs in three and one third innings while
and Brandon Gorman went a third of an inning walking one.
