Andrew Evans of the Schutt Hitmen from Melbourne Victoria was
named Junior Male Athlete of the Year (sponsored by the Australian
Sports Commission). 

Evans captained Victoria to the finals at the Australian Under
19 Men’s Fastpitch Championship in January, where he won the
pitching award by pitching 38.7 innings the most by any pitcher
at a nationals. He performed with exception in the Canberra Skins
Tournament for his Melbourne based team and following this was
selected into the Open Men’s Development squad for the development
series against New Zealand.

It is with great pride that all the players and administrators
of the Schutt Hitmen and Sunshine softball association congratulate
Andrew and his extreme efforts over the last 12 months.

We look forward to seeing you in a Schutt Uniform for many years
to come.
