The Blackhawk Athletic Club of Rockford, IL. wrapped up the 2007
fastpitch campaign with a 24-18 overall record. 

Highlights of the season: 

Dick Tracy Tournament (2nd Place) 
John Heather Tournament (2nd Place) 
Northern Illinois NAFA Qualifier (1st Place) 
ASA Class A Nationals (5th Place) 

*In the ASA National two players received honors. 

Ray Reynolds was named first team all-american as a pitcher.
Ray was 3-0 in the tournament with a 0.00 ERA. 

Tim Hatten was named 1st team all-american at 1B, while taking
home the batting crown with a .588 average.

2008 Outlook: 

An update will be coming soon on rosters and schedule for the
2008 campaign.. The team will be restructuring as the team strives
to get younger and increase the number of local players on the
team. The schedule will be focused at the NAFA A Major, ASA C/B
level as younger players are transitioned to increased number
of weekend tournaments. 

The team will also be welcoming a new field manager as Jesse
Fudge Sr., Mgr.. for the past 5 years will be retiring from the
men's game. The team and all the players express much gratitude
for his commitment and dedication to the team. He will be missed.


The name of the new field manager will be released within the
next month along with schedule and rosters for 2008.
