COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE LORDS

Campus bragging rights are on the line on Thursday, September
10 as the Durham Lords and UOIT Ridgebacks men’s soccer teams
will square off in the inaugural “Green and Blue Game” as part
of this week’s orientation activities. Game time for the match
at Vaso's Field (next to the campus tennis centre) is at 5 p.m.

The event will begin at noon as students and staff can take part
in a pep rally hosted by Your SA at the Student Centre. Fans
will be able to get ready for the big match with several activities
taking place including face painting, soccer demonstrations and
other fun events throughout the afternoon. The action will move
over to the soccer pitch at 4 p.m. as pre-game festivities will
be taking place before kick-off at 5 p.m.

ROSE EARNS A SPOT ON GREAT BRITAIN’S WORLD CUP 40-MAN ROSTER
The Great Britain baseball coaching staff has announced a 40-man
preliminary roster of players, one step away from the 24 players
who will ultimately be selected to compete in the World Cup.
Named to the 40-man roster was Durham College student-athlete
Gary Rose, who is also entering his third season with the Durham

WOMEN’S FASTBALL READY TO GET STARTED
The women’s fastball team will continue training camp this week
and open up their season with an exhibition series in Rochester
from September 12-13.. The Lords will play the three time NCJAA
national champion Monroe Community College in a four game set
over the two day span.
