BUSY WEEKEND ON CAMPUS FOR THE LORDS CAN-AM CLASSIC PREVIEW

Busy weekend on campus for the Lords CAN-AM Classic Preview
OSHAWA, Ont. - It is a big weekend for Durham College varsity
athletics with several teams in action. Here is a brief overview
of what the varsity teams are up to this weekend:

Top womens fastball teams heading to Oshawa for the CAN-AM Classic
OSHAWA, Ont. Four of the top teams in womens fastball will
meet at Durham College this weekend as the Lords are set to host
the CAN-AM Classic taking place from September 24-26, 2010.
The Durham Lords enter the tournament as the two-time defending
champions. Durham has defeated the 2006 & 2007 champion Monroe
Tribunes in the finals in the past two years. The teams met in
Rochester, NY earlier in the year, splitting the series with
one win apiece.
Rounding out the tournament field is the Mohawk Mountaineers
(Hamilton, Ont..) and Seneca Sting (North York, Ont.), both of
which are top teams in the OCAA.
The tournament will begin on Friday night as the Lords play the
Mountaineers at 6:30 p.m. The opening game will also count towards
the OCAA regular season standings. There will be four games taking
place on Saturday, with three more set for Sunday. The championship
final is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Consolation Final: 3rd Place vs. 4th Place (12 p.m.)
