INFUSE ACTIVE SOFTBALL INTO YOUR WINTER TRAINING! 

NORTH YORK, ONTARIO-  Softball Ontario is looking for Local Softball
Association Coaches who are hosting pre-season winter sessions
in their local gyms to introduce the Skills Test Competition
portion of the Active Softball Program. The Active Softball Program
focuses on developing softball skills and creating interest in
the game of softball for children aged 10-14 years.  The Active
Softball Interactive Board Game features an oversized game board
displaying twenty-eight (28) activity squares that correspond
to six (6) activity card categories (Receiving, Hitting, Throwing,
Pitching, Running and Healthy Eating- which address cognitive
concepts and health related questions).

The Softball Skills Test Challenge Manual will help coaches determine
their players’ basic fundamental skill level in softball. Coaches
can also use the Softball Skills Test to evaluate players’ on
their basic movement skills and concepts of healthy eating. Each
of the skills evaluated in the Skills Test Challenge fit within
the 2010 Health and Physical Education Curriculum! 

Included in the Active Kit, Associations will receive:


• An oversized game board - 4’ x 4’ 
• A set of 6 playing pieces and 6 dice
• A “Rules and Skills Guide” – yours to Keep!
• A “Skills Test Competition guide” – yours to Keep!
              o Results Sheets/Certificates
• FREE Activity Books and Giveaways for your Kids!

WE NEED YOU!

Softball Ontario is asking for local Softball Associations and
their coaches to help test and further evaluate the Softball at School
Website and our Skills Test portion of the site. Please note
that the Skills Test Review portion is relatively new and we
are looking for enthusiastic Coaches to help further evaluate
the site and pass on any information that they may have to better
the process. All participating Associations or Coaches are asked
to sign up on our Softball at School website (www.softballatschool.ca)
where you will create a Login to access the website. This website
is designed for teachers and coaches to keep up-to-date on Softball
Ontario School related programs as well as to be able to further
evaluate participants on their softball skills using the Skills
Test Review portion. 

SIGN UP NOW AND WIN!

For Associations and Coaches who sign up to request an Active
Kit to use as a practice tool indoors AND utilizes the Skills
Test Challenge portion of the game will automatically be entered
in a draw to win a FREE Active Softball Game for your Association!
All ACTIVE Softball Kits are available to be borrowed by Softball
Associations or Coaches FREE for one month- only cost associated
with the Kit is the return shipping back to the Softball Ontario
office. Softball Ontario does offer subsidized shipping, feel
free to contact the Softball Ontario office for more details!


How Can You Participate in the Active Softball Program? 

The Kits are available on a first-come; first –served basis;

and register to Request an Active Softball Kit for your chance
to WIN a FREE ACTIVE Kit for your Association! If you have any
