Subject: Bakersfield game wraps (from the Builders perspective)

Gents - Im a bit new to writing game recaps but please accept these as what I believe to be factual. Chris McGehee has at least seen these to verify what I have said and he intends to send over additional tournament games. I hope in my excitement I treated everyone fairly and didn't get too biased in my retelling. If I did please feel free to reel me in and edit prior to posting. Thanks as always for everything you do for our great game. These are the game summaries I know:

5/19/12 Columbia River (CR) A1 Brewers at Cal-State/Seattle Builders
          1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E
Brewers 1 0 1 1 0 0 0 1 2 6 7 1
Builders 0 0 0 1 1 0 1 1 1 5 9 1

Travis Price, Jeff Farion (8) and Tony Acedo; Kevin Kammueller, Brady Woods (9) and Ricky Moore
WP-Farion; LP-Woods, HR-Keith Barker (CRB), Chad Hardesty (CRB), 3B-Dany Blanco (CSB), 2B-Dean Waltier (CSB)

Builder catcher Ricky Moore's two-out bottom of the 7th rbi single gave Cal-State new life by enabling extra frames but Columbia River's Keith Barker drove in two top of the ninth runs with the international tie-breaker in effect to give the Brewers the lead. Mr. Barker's two out hit would prove to be the key moment of the game as the Builders managed one run in the bottom of the ninth but winning pitcher Jeff Farion was able to buckle down and cancel the threat to secure the win. CR starter Travis Price struck out 10 while Cal-State's Kevin Kammueller collected 7 of his own in a fantastic ISC major fastball game.

5/19/12 Cal-State/Seattle Builders at Bakersfield Silverhawks

            1 2 3 4 5 6 7 R H E
Builders 0 2 1 0 0 0 0 3 5 2
Silverhawks 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 0

Brady Woods and Matt McMann; Rob Schweyer and James Close, Carlos Flores (2)
WP-Woods; LP-Schweyer, HR-None, 3B-James Close (BS), 2B-Dean Waltier (CSB), Matt McMann (CSB), SB-Jason Pruit (BS)

Playing with a limited and shorthanded (missing 9 ISC rostered players) squad, the Silverhawks managed one unearned run against a 19-strikeout performance from young Canadian Brady Woods.

5/19/12 Cal-State Builders at Savala Painters

            1 2 3 4 5 6 7 R H E
Builders 0 0 1 5 1 1 0 8 15 2
Painters 0 0 0 2 0 1 0 3 2 0

Kevin Kammueller and Ricky Moore; Tom Biko, Snake Rivera (4), Al Storm (6) and Mark Stolok
WP-Kammueller; LP-Biko, HR-Dennis Bradford (SP), 3B-Dennis Bradford (SP), Scot Tomasello (CSB), 2B-Dean Waltier (CSB), Matt McMann (CSB), SB-Jason Pruit (BS)

Savala first baseman Dennis Bradford unlocked Builder starter Kammueller for their only two hits. Builder bats came alive with a big 4th inning.

5/20/12 Columbia River (CR) A1 Brewers at Cal-State/Seattle Builders
          1 2 3 4 5 6 7 R H E
Brewers 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 0
Builders 0 0 3 0 0 0 x 3 6 1

Travis Price, Jeff Farion (5) and Tony Acedo; Brady Woods and Ricky Moore
WP-Woods; LP-Price, HR-None, 3B-Dean Waltier (CSB), 2B-Scot Tomasello (CSB), Matt McMann (CSB)

Cal-State's Scot Tomasello battled a 9-pitch at-bat against CR's Travis Price with two outs and the bases loaded to deliver a 3rd inning 3-run double that would prove to be the critical point of the game. The Brewers constantly threatened starter Brady Woods but the Builder defense held in a great fastpitch game. Mr. Woods struck out 11 to pickup the win while the Brewer pitchers combined for 7 strikeouts of their own.

5/20/12 Bakersfield Silverhawks at Cal-State/Seattle Builders

            1 2 3 4 5 6 7 R H E
Builders 0 0 0 2 2 0 x 4 9 1
Silverhawks 1 0 0 1 0 0 x 2 4 0

Kevin Kammueller and Ricky Moore; Rob Schweyer and James Close
WP-Kammueller; LP-Schweyer, HR-James Close (BS), Dean Waltier (CSB), SB-Matt Christiansen (CSB)

Kevin Kammueller recorded 10 strikeouts in a 6-inning game shortened due to the heat of the day taking a toll on the depleted Silverhawk roster. This championship secures a 2012 World Tournament berth for the Builders in Midland, Michigan.
