We'd just like to take a couple of minutes and thank all of the people
that made this year's Boys of Summer Tournament a success once again this
year.
First and foremost, thank you to all of the teams.  Without you we
obviously could not put on a tournament.  We invite all of you back again
next year and would ideally like to expand the tournament as we have in
the past.  We hope you all had a positive experience.
A thank you goes out to Ron Brinkman and his staff, Toby Olsen, Gary
Johnston, John Kunz, and Scott Maier for doing a fine job umpiring the
games.
Thank you to Dean Oscar, ISC President, for overseeing the tournament and
presenting the team and individual awards.  Thanks to Dan "Buddha" Haas
for selecting the all-tournament team and to Hank DeWild for supplying the
stats electronically and posting box scores to Al's Fastball.  Thanks to
Tracy Baumgartner for scorekeeping and announcing each and every game at
Circle Tap throughout the weekend.
Thank you to Mark and Justin Loritz for groundskeeping, grilling, and any
and all miscellaneous duties for weeks prior until well past the final out
of the tournament.
Thank you to the Maribel Lions for concessions and running of the Maribel
diamond, which we used as diamond #2 this year.
Thank you to all of the fans that made the trip.  I know I received
several emails from throughout the country of people that said they were
making the trip.  I hope you had an enjoyable time.  I know Darren
appreciates it and makes it worth all of the work to put a good product on
the field and keep the game of major fastpitch alive in the heartland.

The Boys of Summer Tournament will be back in 2013, however a weekend has
yet to be determined.  It will either be the first or second weekend in
July.
