This is a full-time position working with and reporting to Softball Canada’s CEO and Board of Directors.<br>
<br>
Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:<br>
<ul>
<li>
Assisting in the continued development and roll-out of the following programs:
<ul>
<li>
Learn to Play program</li>
<li>
CANpitch program</li>
<li>
Player Development program</li>
<li>
SAFE Star program</li>
<li>
Other programs as developed</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
Providing administrative support and assistance to the Player Development, Learn To Play and CANpitch committees and working groups</li>
<li>
Providing day-to-day office administrative activities, including reception, mail and shipping and processing of resource orders</li>
<li>
Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
The successful candidate will ideally possess:<br>
<ul>
<li>
A post secondary degree in sport administration, or equivalent area of study/experience</li>
<li>
Proven administrative skills managing a variety of projects</li>
<li>
Familiarity with Long-Term Player Development principles and delivery of associated programming</li>
<li>
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office 2007)</li>
<li>
Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal). Bilingualism (English/French) is strongly valued in this position</li>
<li>
Experience working with volunteers and boards</li>
<li>
Knowledge of softball is an asset</li>
</ul>
This position is based in the Softball Canada office in Ottawa, ON and is supported by Sport Canada.<br>
