</U></STRONG>ASA "C" Division, Merced defeated the Cardinals to capture the Cal Cup "C" Crown.</div>

<div>ISC Open Division, Saturday pool play had Cal-State Builders seed #1 after handing the California A's (#2 seed) their first defeat. CR/AI Brewers of Portland was seeded 3rd.</div>

<div>On Sunday, the California A's jumped out to an early 2-0 lead vs the Brewers. Whitten vs. SeaBass. The Brewers tied it up and then took a 4-2 lead. An unfortunate situation happen after the Brewers scored 4 unanswered runs in 2 innings and then added another base hit, the next Brewer batter Sean Whitten faced was hit in the face and the game was delayed as the Fire Dept and an ambulance arrived to assist the injured player. The A's hit a couple solo shots the next inning and knotted it back up at 4-4. The game was won in extra innings, 5-4 by the A's.</div>

<div>The A's then faced the tough Cal-State Builders squad and was able to capture the California Cup ISC Open Championship game 4-2. </div>
